No-one has mentioned it yet, but I prefer DirectNic. I wonder why no-one seems to use them? Price? I like the service and support I get.

You have to wait 60 days before being able to transfer.

It's not just who you BUY from, it's also who you HOLD them with. Registrars have the "power" to suspend your domain if they think you're doing something wrong.

Have a few with Just Host & Some with Go Daddy.
The Just Host, came up for initial renewal at 2X the initial 2 year period.
Time to find someone else

Mostly NameCheap but I've got a few at GoDaddy. I only buy from GD when they've got $1 domains. Hate their checkout process that takes ten minutes.

1. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket.
2. Different registrars have different pricing. .com is cheaper at one registrar, .us at another, .net at a third, etc
3. Some providers have free domain privacy
4. there are transfer sales at some registrars
etc etc
