Best way to send out email blasts to 20kish people ?

I've got a local database of about 20k emails for my events... I just cancelled my CRM, they really suck and don't get through spam filters. Theses emails are all legit, opt-in. What's the best service to send out mass mails ?

Your sig quote is awesome! mainstream or adult in nature?

Doctor Dre 10-19-2011 03:02 PM

All 100 % mainstream.
I own two big nightclubs, just event promoting.

There are a gazillion* ESPs to chose from for mainstream. I like mail chimp and constant contact. There are loads though.

*yes, literally.

Aweber or Mailchimp :)

Or something custom.

I see all these responses for Mailchimp...

From the "Terms of Use" of Mailchimp:

"You will not publish any material that contains sexually related text, photographs or other content, or content that is defamatory, obscene, indecent, threatening, abusive or hateful."

http://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/

Why would you give ANY business to a mainstream company that clearly has a problem with "adult" rather than doing business with a fellow adult company?

So we all have to host our mainstream businesses with porn hosts because mainstream hosts forbid porn? And have to use CCBill for mainstream billing because mainstream billers won't allow porn?

Mailchimp is hands down the best email solution I've ever used. And it's almost half the price of Ynot mail.

I wouldn't hesitate recommending Ynot for porn email. It works well (aside from last weekend). But it seems ridiculous to argue that you shouldn't use MailChimp for mainstream because they, like EVERY SINGLE OTHER email company aside from you and Lyris (that I know of) don't allow porn.

Maybe some are worried that an adult company providing mailing services could access another adult companies email database through the service and use the addresses for their own purposes?

I was gonna say 'Ask Damian'...

But, just like normal... He came first... :(

LAJ 10-28-2011 09:36 AM

Real simple... regardless of quality of service, I choose to not give my business to organizations that make a point of some "moral" high ground. And as well... YNOT Mail isn't just for adult.
