My father died in Vietnam when I was nine months old; I was raised by my mother, my step father, and they had a son who was my half brother.

When I was twenty-five I was discovered that not only did I have an older sister, but I also had an older brother. My father was married, had a daughter with his wife, and had a son with another woman a week later. For reasons I fail to understand this was all hidden from me growing up as "the family secret".

With so many people out there having multiple babies with multiple partners it has to happen more than people think it does.
