What's the best show on TV right now?

What's the best?

I like a few, hard to pick one.

nextri 11-18-2011 10:47 AM

I really like Homeland. The best new series this season.
Ther than that I enjoy Dexter, The good wife, Sons of anarchy..

Bryan G 11-18-2011 10:47 AM

2 Broke Girls is really funy

Jim_Gunn 11-18-2011 10:49 AM

I'm really enjoying "Boardwalk Empire".

Evil Chris 11-18-2011 10:51 AM

My two favourites right now: Person of Interest, and Parenthood.

EddyTheDog 11-18-2011 10:51 AM

The Good Wife and The Walking Dead....

I saw something called Southland for the first time the other day - Looked like it could be good.

BIGTYMER 11-18-2011 10:55 AM

Gold Rush

dropped9 11-18-2011 10:58 AM

Gold Rush and Sons of Anarchy

Jman 11-18-2011 11:05 AM

The two and a half man reruns with Charlie ;-)

Sarcasm?

Bird 11-18-2011 11:10 AM

Always like NCIS but Person of Interest is pretty good

CDSmith 11-18-2011 11:11 AM

Nice to see The Good Wife getting several mentions. That show is incredibly well-written, well-cast, and well-acted. I'd say that for regular network tv it's currently the best.

But if you include HBO, Showtime, Movie Central, etc, then I'll have to throw in Californication, Boardwalk Empire, and anyone who doesn't like Game of Thrones is just dead inside. :D

Totally agree but new season doesnt start until April 2012 :disgust

AdultTraffic.info 11-18-2011 11:18 AM

The Killing which aired a while ago on UK Television. Also decent to watch here is The Apprentice, Dragons Den and Sky Sports for the footie. :)

Spunky 11-18-2011 11:19 AM

I like the Big C and Sons of Anarchy

Scott McD 11-18-2011 11:19 AM

There isn't any programmes i watch just now.

Tv is shitty these days!

JFK 11-18-2011 11:21 AM

Sons and Boardwalk, but the more I watch them , the more they are turning into soaps:disgust

allen135 11-18-2011 11:26 AM

Person of Interest and 2 broke girls :-)

I actually find it one of the better new sitcoms. I'm so sick of how I met your mother and big bang theory.

Whitney cummings did a better job on 2 Broke Girls than on her own show

rhon23 11-18-2011 11:34 AM

The Secret Circle

scuba steve 11-18-2011 11:47 AM

someone mentioned it, walking dead is super addicting although i admit it has been a little slow the last couple episodes.

breaking bad, which i just finished up was amazing

LeRoy 11-18-2011 11:48 AM

Rules of Engagement is pretty funny

SykkBoy 11-18-2011 11:52 AM

American Horror Story

Rochard 11-18-2011 12:56 PM

Sons Of Anarchy is doing it for me. I also like Hawaii 5o, but I've always had an odd thing for Hawaii.

I watch Covert Affairs but only as filler.

atom 11-18-2011 01:00 PM

Current shows that get watched in our house

The Walking Dead
Homeland
Dexter
Parks and Rec
American Horror Story
Gold Rush
Survivor

The one I look forward to the most every week is either Homeland or American Horror Story.

scuba steve 11-18-2011 01:03 PM

its funny how many people are mentioning dexter. don't get me wrong, i enjoy it, the trinity season was incredible. its just funny how it paints a picture of miami, that we have a massive serial killer every year

RuthB 11-18-2011 01:08 PM

I'm really enjoying Person of Interest

Once Upon A Time is pretty darn good too

And Grimm is another one I'm enjoying quite a bit!

Sadly, Alphas season ended already, but they'll be back for another season. That show is pretty good, WAY better than Heroes ever was.

Then there's the old favorites still putting out good episodes.. Big Bang Theory, Fox animated shows, South Park.. etc

Rebel D 11-18-2011 01:11 PM

Walking dead,Hell on wheels, Dexter, Grimm, Man up is what i am watching

shade001 11-18-2011 01:26 PM

The Walking Dead on AMC. I bought the season one DVD and was blown away. So far season two is great.

Elli 11-18-2011 01:30 PM

The Walking Dead is pretty tight, but the characters sure make some dumb decisions. The pain of watching a horror movie sub-character wander off into the darkness alone "just to check something" is repeated every episode. Maybe I shouldn't have read/watched "The Stand" over a decade ago....

Jarmusch 11-18-2011 01:48 PM

Dexter.

But Dexter is the only thing on TV that I watch, so I may be a little biased.

bronco67 11-18-2011 01:55 PM

Right now...Boardwalk Empire.

I also love Community and Parks and Rec.

SykkBoy 11-18-2011 02:06 PM

Dexter is one of my favorite shows too, but the last 2 seasons, the writing has been subpar. The performances have been good, but the writers are just going through the motions, it seems.

although subpar Dexter is still better than 99% of what's out there...

Ross 11-18-2011 02:10 PM

Revenge is the best new show on TV, I'm hooked on this. We're also watching New Girl which is hilarious and we PVR Person of Interest but haven't watched any yet. Almost finished season 2 of Modern Family which I love.

I noticed the same thing. They're really spelling it all out for the viewer this season. I can almost hear the typewriter clicking as I'm watching.

WebairMetz 11-18-2011 02:12 PM

Boardwalk Empire
Gold Rush
Hell On Wheels
Walking Dead

shimmy 11-18-2011 02:19 PM

It's always sunny in Philadelphia & Fringe

Yup ... Brilliant show!

JamesChoopa 11-18-2011 02:26 PM

Wow, surprised to see it took so long for Modern Family to make the list (unless I missed someones mention of it prior to Message #40)

2 Broke Girls is pretty funny. Still watching CSI: Vegas as well.

SykkBoy 11-18-2011 02:30 PM

We also watch:
Raising Hope
2 Broke Girls
Whitney
HIMYM

and I don't go out of my way to see it, but Biggest Loser still gets my attention when I'm flipping through the channels.

SilentKnight 11-18-2011 07:12 PM

Raising Hope - consistently hilarious.

Pretty much anything not on network TV with a few exceptions.

Dexter
Boardwalk Empire
Homeland
Walking Dead
Hell on Wheels
American Horror Story
Always Sunny
Onion News Network
Burn Notice
Psych
Network TV:
You can never go wrong with House
Fringe
The Mentalist
Supernatural
UK:
Luther (on BBCAmerica)
The Fades(ended recently)

*Shows in no particular order and some may be erroneously omitted.

If I had to pick one I'd go with either Dexter or something on AMC like Breaking Bad or Mad Men.

AllAboutCams 11-18-2011 09:59 PM

the walking dead / boardwalk empire / hell on wheels

alias 11-18-2011 10:04 PM
