Do I need a warning page on erotica site?

Hello,

I have an erotica site (text only) www.mypoutylips.com

Do I need to have a warning page on it? How does it impact search engine and traffic? Can you guys recommend a worpress plugin that would do just that?

Thanks in advance!

I just want to know if it is a legal obligation

A warning page is just another barrier between surfers and your site. You don't want to make life difficult for surfers, do you?

But you should use an RTA meta tag on your pages, that way they'll be automatically blocked by parental control software and filters.

Yes, RTA meta tag. We have one for our site. Just search for it through WP Plugins

Warning pages always suck

stonehammer 11-28-2011 08:20 PM

not anymore

useful tip, link exchange with older erotic story sites will be good for you, and focus on your seo keyword now

Thank you for the tips.

Yes SEO keywords is really something i need to improve, for each individual page. But for erotica it is not so easy as most stories have a title, which is not always SEO friendly I must admit. And I don't really know which free keyword tools can help me find the best keywords for each page.

go for descriptive titles that accurately describe your stories

like 'unpopular college student blackmails his sexy teacher'

Thanks for the constructive comment and the pertinent example!

By the way i applied for ERO advertising from your signature. I added the code but it kept saying PENDING FOR REVIEW for a few days, so i went back to Juicy Ads code. I don't make much money with them, like 50 cents a day, but better than nothing

stonehammer 12-04-2011 05:19 PM

yes...you have to send ero-advertising an email to get them to approve your site, happened with me too

try them both and see what makes you more money :)

Which one is making more money for you? ERO or juicy ads? Is that a big difference?

stonehammer 12-05-2011 02:48 AM

eros worked better for me, yes the difference was noticeable

I have a warning page that I use for surfers coming from links on Youtube..just so I'm not linking directly to porn on Youtube.

CIVMatt 12-20-2011 08:14 AM

warning pages are not required for any website

2ndxachrm 12-20-2011 10:22 AM

right now my site uses this tag: <meta name="audience" content="Adult" />

should I use this tag instead:<meta name="RATING" content="RTA-5042-1996-1400-1577-RTA" />

or does it matter?

GayBunny 12-20-2011 10:35 AM

I just worry about my footers, which contains DMCA Notice | Terms of Use

angelicka 12-21-2011 03:39 AM

Really DMCA notice is needed too?
