no point, aside from the rarity of the items. Krugerands are a commodity, more than numismatic value :2 cents:

What, you want to sell it, or??

rogueteens 11-29-2011 11:01 AM

I got given an 1807 British shilling the other day, from the time of George III (The Madness of King George for you americans), not worth much but still nice to have.

NICE, the MS 63 is worth some serious coin:winkwink: #2 here is around MS 60 or better.

you-big-dummy 11-29-2011 11:20 AM

How recent is the spread sheet ? I saw some auction results, (cant find the site now) but they were a lot higher. 2011 red book shows a value for the 1877 MS-63 as 60k :winkwink:

Take a snap shot of it. I'm interested in seeing it as I'm sure JFK is.

I'm 1/3 inheritor of the collection. I've never seen the coins. A spreadsheet came with some legal papers. I'm just now taking an active role in their sale and will have updated information soon if you are interested.

At 60k there has to be a big difference somewhere

60k is listed book value, it's a guide only, Actual cash value will depend on the willing buyer and seller.

Very nice.

There was a scramble here a couple of years ago now i think for a 20p which was made without being dated by mistake.

http://newsimg.bbc.co.uk/media/image...984854_20p.jpg

Can't quite remember how many were made. Some were going for high prices on Ebay right away lol.

Probably best holding on to them for many years to come, and then you'll see the real value of them... Wish i had one.

Why 11-29-2011 11:58 AM

I like them for the historical perspective. How many hands have they passed thru over the years:winkwink:

LAJ 11-29-2011 12:20 PM

I've been collecting coins since I was 13. No intent to sell tho...

Caligari 11-29-2011 12:51 PM
