Thumb Scripts & SEO
I have an old tgp that is doing well on google and its running an older script like autogallery/tgpx and im looking at replacing it with smartthumbs but was wondering the differences in how theyre currently treated by google? Should it be the same? Its been a while since i looked into the seo side of smartthumbs but i recall a thread or two about it back in the day and smartthumbs script wasn't treated very well when it came to rankings.
Whats the latest? I would hate to see a big drop because of the change. Or do you think it wont matter? |
why are you changing it?

I mean, its running autogallery sql. tgpx i believe is the newer version of autogallerysql? and even tgpx has been dead for some time, as far as updating and support, etc. - while smart-thumbs is still updating and kicking, i figured it would be a smarter move. But mainly its the rotation options im concerned with so far
not to mention, i own smartthumbs already so i wouldn't be purchasing it |
go for stream rotator or stxt
|
Seems as if stxt is better for multicategory, however its missing the main st feature, sort by last clicks. which is the main reason i have been using ST for as long as i have

Google has always been great for ST on the SEO field..we had some trouble few years ago were Google changed some algo's but the fixed that pretty quick.. |
