5 days to transfer money WTF

Could someone please tell me why it takes 5 days to move money from one account to another. I and everyone else have an online money processor like pxum, payneer, but if I want to move my money, once in their system to an external card it takes 5 or so days.

We now have so many things online that are instantaneous but when it comes to money it moves so frigen slow. 5 days? are you serious? "click on the little button that says transfer will ya!!?? I know there has to be a legit reason please explain.

it's all about preventing (or trying to prevent) fraud and stealing....

Ok maybe fraud prevention however 1 day five days what does the added 4 or so days allow? Do they actually need that time to check serial numbers on the bills. Do they need it to sit there and try and get some interest. (not enough time for that)

to me 24 hours would be suffice. It's a scam I tell ya'

When you purchase something, that doesn't take 5 days anymore to be removed from your account. AUTOMATIC, Bang! it's gone.

I would want better security for purchases. Give me 5 days to figure out (if not authorized) why I'm missing money!

It really depends on the banks. I have done IBAN transfers between different countries that only took a couple of hours, but sometimes it takes 2 or 3 days. Non Iban transfers usually take longer, like 5 days indeed.
