KVM Switch - what can you recommend?

I have three computers with three monitors and getting another PC soon, but I don't want to buy more monitors since I don't really have the room for them.

So, I am thinking of buying a KVM switch - have you used one and what can you recommend? Ideally one with a wired remote, so I can switch between computers by pressing the button on that remote....

For desktop KVMs, all the ones I've tried have been fine. Typically you switch CPUs using the keyboard, such as by tapping Scroll-Lock twice. That's more convenient than a separate remote. For IP KVMs, where the machine is far away, that's a different story. I tried a couple of lower cost IP KVMs that didn't last long. The third time I went with something higher end unit. For the desktop, I'd buy based on price assuming it has the connections you need and in the case of DVI assuming it can handle the resolution.

I need a desktop KVM, but I have started searching yesterday and read about a lot of bad experiences - like the screen flickering, swtiching b/n computers taking forever, etc. The problem is that I will probably have to order it from amazon.uk, wait a week or so for it to arrive, so I want to get it right the first time.
