Seal Team Six kicked ass in Somalia
US Navy Seal Team Six flew into Somalia last night and rescued two hostages, killing nine kidnappers.
While I applaud this action - it was the same Seal Team that took out Osama - what are the legal implications here? The US Navy just walked into another country and and killed nine people. < news linkie > |
Wonder how many SEALS will die in an "accident" next week....

I applaud the killing of pirates. Hopefully file locker owners will take notice.

Was this the same team that fucked up and managed to kill the British hostage a few months back too?
|
I think you actually need a functioning government to be considered a country.

Then they managed to lose a stealth helicopter and get whole team killed by a single RPG: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/0..._n_920147.html Then some SEAL assclown managed to get his head blown off while showing off a gun to some bar slut: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...n-met-bar.html |
So its ok to take citizens of another country hostage but not to rescue them?

I bet those pirates were 16 year old punks. :2 cents:
Not a big loss. less of them, better for all of us. |

Somalia is a failed state. They don't really have a government to deal with in a situation like this, so pretty much anything goes.
