Anyone notice on the 2nd half, the last guy throws the grenade on the outside of the hole? then the center of the hole blows up?? Seems fishy to me.. Staged explosives?

Not outside of the hole, he dropped it inside a second smaller hole possible connected with the 1st hole, if he miss the small hole he can say goodbye to his legs ... :2 cents:
