Network Solutions - Reinstatement Fee
So my domain expired Friday (01/27/12), and I was aware, but I figured I had a grace period, and I was waiting for some paypal.
Today (01/31/12) I log in to renew and I see one year now is $37.99 and they added a $25.00 Reinstatement Fee  I guess we're all hurting for cash, and this will keep people on their toes with keeping up with their renewals, and this grace period comes with a price :1orglaugh |
Try Namecheap or Internet.bs, you will probably be much happier with either one of them.
Well known that NS will rape you for everything they can, they have no shame
yeah they started doing that a couple of years ago. seems they keep pushing the limits of what people will take.
they bill $38/year now a days?! :error
namecheap has no extra fees in case you miss a renewal.
Other registrars easily charge a $250 reinstatement fee. Not because it requires all that more effort, but because they can.

People still use NS as a registrar?

Ask NetSol to waive the fee or you'll transfer all your domains out. Then transfer it all out anyway.
