Namecheap Hosting Issues?

Anyone having problems with their Namecheap hosted sites?

My portfolio page, RubyGoodnight.com is down, and when I tried to get onto NameCheap.com to see if anything was up at their end, that site seems down as well.

Scratch that...of course the minute I post that, it goes back up!

Looks like a GFY thread solves another issue. ;)

You host with namecheap???

Anyone who uses namecheap or godaddy should not be allowed to complain when their site goes down. It's like buying Natural Light and complaining that it tastes like shit.

I see that you have kept it pretty softcore - However they are pretty anti-adult with there hosting.

You might want to shop around for some a more tolerant host...

Why is it that people can't get a real host? I would never use hosting provided by the registrar. maybe for small personal stuff, but NEVER for business related stuff.

Yeah, I know it wasn't the smartest move in the world, but it was the first site I'd ever started, and I'm not really in the know about that kind of thing. It's a basic WP portfolio site, so I didn't need all the bells and whistles.

I've got a few other sites in the pipeline, which aren't hosted by either of them. Lessons learned!

Namecheap is for domains, get a real hosting.

Don't host with your registrar or visa versa.

site works good...
but you should consider moving it to some adult friendly host
I can suggest Naked Hosting / Certified Hosting
