I'm curious to know who buys content for their sites and programs... who still shoots their own content... Or who does both buys content and shoots their own content...

Both, depends on the site

I do a mix of both, but for the most part, I shoot my own content for my sites.

All is shot by ourselves (for the premium sites). For our cam sites we also shoot from our webcam girls and much is self generated/uploaded by webcam studios and performers.

We buy. But it is a bit of a struggle to find saleable content nowadays.

I know a lot of the bigger companies shoot their own content... that is what I have always been use to... but since everything is changing I am interested in how many people are still all in house and if they still see a nice profit from that, or is the buying content market becoming more profitable...

Well since you seem to be doing research.

Shoot very little but buy from approx. 30 different content sites(images only). But I'm very picky and only really care about hires nice glamor from the most popular girls in the industry past or present. :)

Shoot 90% our own and buy 10%. At the prices these days I should be buying more.

I thought I would give this a nice BUMP to the top... I got caught up in some work so I couldn't play with this thread and I'm still very interested in knowing what is your most profitable business model

What do you find is more profitable in today's market, buy content and sell or shoot all your own or both... Personally I like the "shoot all your own" but as I stated above I'm not sure what is profitable anymore...

I know a huge factor is in how you market your content, and what you provide, please believe I know a program with AMAZING content and a moron in control so it's not going anywhere... LOL so let's just say you are providing the best features/tools, and you are marketing the shit out of the content, what is better for you???

If you are only shooting your own what is the reason for not buying... personally I live by the do it all, leave no doors unopened...

Shoot my own. Buy "filler" content from time to time.

Paul Markham would say that you cannot shoot your own content but you need to employ the best and most expensive shooter instead
