Some HELP understanding why NATS shows google URL as referrer when hits come from my blog...

I have a blog, it ranks for a keyword, yet when I login to NATS to check my stats, in the referrer field in many instances it shows the google search URL as the referrer even though the hits come DIRECTLY from my blog.

So why doesn't it show my BLOG URL as the referer and how can I fix it so it does...

I want to know what page on my blog sent the hit to the sponsor, not see googles urls in there

Thanks

Could it be nats has your link code as a url in search results?

possibly you've cookied the surfer already (previously), and the referrer is the last referrer (not from same domain) which sometimes happens when they search for the paysite name?

yes, a banner from the sponsor is an iframe
do u think that explains it?

Browsers don't like to share things with iframes... So it might not be overwritten by the new click because it was into an iframe, then the iframe reads it as its own domain and gets the unswitched result showing google and not your blog.

I will take your word for it - Not sure how that works... :)

I guess that the culprits could be Google Cache and Translate as well.

It's almost certainly Google translate. I get that a lot...actually made a couple of sales from translate referrers.
