That was a fun Sunday (pics)
 

Saturday, goodgirl and I joined a few friends for a bike ride, then a visit to the newly reopened Rock & Brews, a brew pub partially owned by Gene Simmons. While we were there I found out about the Waves of Grain Beerfest that was coming up the next day as a fundraiser for the Roundhouse Aquarium in Manhattan Beach. When I got home I started contacting people and the next thing I knew, I was invited to cover the event.

To be honest, I never knew there was an aquarium in there until I got to the event yesterday. I asked them if it was new or something, but I guess it has been there 15 years. I guess it has been a while since I went to the end of MB pier. I will have to do something about that soon.

I though it was a Ruby's like at the end of the Huntington Beach pier

Looks like a fun event. How many people were there? I love a good beer festival, but I have been to a few that were so crowded it was miserable.

They said tickets were limited to 200. I would say that was probably a pretty close estimate to how many were there. It was spread across the lobby and skydeck so nothing was really that crowded (although the parking lot attendant told me there was a long line waiting to get in before it started). It was only a 3 hour long event, so I guess most wanted to make sure they were there from the start.
