The Secret Meeting that Changed Hip-hop and Destroyed a Generation

No way of checking it's authenticity, nice read though. It discusses a closed door meeting in 1991 where they discussed profiting from filling privately owned prisons, by glorifying crime

Pastor needs to speak about this on Hood Tube :winkwink:

I'm pretty sure the crack epidemic of the 80s changed hip hop and destroyed a generation.

The odds are stacked against you when your parents are crackheads.

raymor 04-27-2012 09:54 AM

Wow, all kinds of complete logic fail in that one. Definitely aimed at people obsessed with conspiracy theories to have someone to blame. wehateporn, you were able to actually log in here, so I guess you have enough brain cells firing to see that's ridiculous?

Bladewire 04-27-2012 09:57 AM

Everyone knows that the Judds changed hip hop

I tend to think in terms of probability, for me I suspect that someone has made it up hoping it will go viral...but, I have no way of confirming.

I posted it as I'm interested in what others think

bronco67 04-27-2012 10:05 AM

No one would ever think up something like that and execute it -- just like all the other conspiracy theories you nutcases subscribe to.

I hate to say it, but you're totally right. :disgust

bronco67, on one hand you accept that there are nutcases, but on the other you say that they wouldn't do crazy things. Or is it that you assume nutcases don't get into influential positions of power?

Personally the story doesn't fit in with my own view of the world, but there are a lot of people who are taking this as a legit letter

ajrocks 04-27-2012 12:53 PM

Ya that's what happened. LOL

AaronM 04-27-2012 03:17 PM

As far as this letter goes, I'm calling bullshit for one simple reason. The author claims he wants to remain anonymous but tells us the rough dates he entered and exited the music business and that he's from Europe. He also said that he was one of 4 removed from the meeting. I'd say that anybody "in the know" would be easily able to identify him based on the things he says.

Whether this letter is legit or not, the topic has been discussed in the past.

wehateporn 04-27-2012 03:25 PM

Good call AaronM. Like you say he easily gave away enough info for them to work out his identity, so there would be no point in staying anon.

Definitely BS, but what interests me more is how to make money from such BS stories going viral, that is why I posted it here to see if anyone would believe it.

Hip-Hop Sucks!

raymor 04-27-2012 03:53 PM

How to make money from hip hop:

Order a million shirts with your "Chubby Kid" logo from China. Cost $1 each.

Put "Chubby Kid" shirt on hip hop star.

Sell a million shirts for $30 each.

World domination not required.

Spent all $30 mil? Repeat with "Chubby Kid" brand shoes.

That's an interesting example of one reason it makes no sense. An astute observation. Definitely paying attention to the details. I hope you don't take it the wrong way if it made me think of this ...

This picture is Photoshopped. I can tell by the pixels:

After your initial post in this thread, it's obvious that you are ignorant to the term "history repeats itself." Anything you have to say about this topic or those discussing it should be taken with a grain a salt.

The best fiction is usually based on a true story. Call it a conspiracy theory if it makes you feel better.

Aaron, I aplogize for my post.

After my initial post on this thread, it's obvious I saw the same kind of non-sequitur you saw. I just didn't take the time to explain it in detail as you did.
