Bumping Beastie Boys on Pandora for the remainder of the day. Im genuinely sad about this, I grew up listening to them and was going to see them on tour. It was pushed back due to his cancer and treatment if im not mistaken. RIP MCA!

Sad news...Adam Yauch did a lot of work in support of human rights, in particular the Free Tibet movement (Yauch was married to a Tibetan woman). I went to the Tibetan Freedom Concerts in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, back in 1996, which was one of the best concert experiences I ever had. A great mixture of music and message. Quote:

RIP Beastie Boys 'MCA' - dead at 47. MCA was a huge supporter of Dalai Lama. Dalai Lama blessed him when he met him recently last July. Overall, he lived a life that benefited many others.

Remember watching this on MTV when I was a kid. The part where Intergalactic drops has always stuck with me and every few years I remember this awesome performance and look it up on youtube. Actually it was probably one of the first things I ever tried looking up on youtube. R.I.P. MCA
