Not to take anything away from Mr. Smith, I'm sure he is a great guy and valued employee, but profunding the elementary aspects of uploading video does not constitute a valuable and informative presentation. As an owner of brick and mortar live cam studios, my web technical skills are abysmal and I have never seen the backside of a website much less a tube yet I am acutely aware that such a presentation to the highly skilled webmasters in attendance was certainly NOT laden with tidbits designed to dissipate ignorance or increase knowledge. I dare say one of our cam girls could have delivered the message, certainly not as adroitly as Mr. Smith, but she would have covered all the high notes.

One thing did stand out however. Back in January Mr. Thylmann said in his keynote address that the optimal length for a video on his tubes was 3-5 minutes. Has the attention span of the average porn surfer increased that much (10-12 minutes) over these scant few months? Better question, was Mr. Smith bullshitting those in attendance in Miami or was Mr. Thylmann? Smith doesn't seem to have a public history of insincere or duplicitous statements.

Further, Feras Antoon in a NY Times article (http://nymag.com/news/features/70985/index4.html), "We tested one minute, three minutes, five minutes. The best converting for the content owner is three minutes. The best for the tube sites?for the surfer to come back and back?is five minutes. So we always ask for three to five. We don?t mind if they send us seven to nine."

In reality the seminar was little more than how to upload a video to pornhub and make it valuable to pornhub not to you...notie his long dissertation on the keywords.....fuck porn hub

they did'nt edit much out, tightened up a bit, cut the panning time down. Unfortunately, there was'nt too may places in the room to shoot from, seeing as the presenter was not at a podium,but pacing. I had to pick a spot, where I can get most of what was happening. This did'nt do much for some of the sound. :2 cents:

i was there in the corner. you didnt miss much just some guy with a radio personality voice doing a slideshow about how/why you should give away your best content. i do utilize tubes sometimes but i don't give away my newest/latest scenes. anyhow i guess you had to be there

Confronting the wrong guy with questions he can not give answers to?

Dont get me wrong its great when people speak up but people should have started this when Fabian was doing his keynote in Vegas. Not to some guy who is unable to answer.
