David Cameron and his wife, Samantha, left their eight-year-old daughter, Nancy, in a pub after having Sunday lunch, Downing Street has confirmed.

She is reported to have spent about 15 minutes at the Plough Inn at Cadsden in Buckinghamshire, before Mr Cameron returned to collect her.

I am betting that every parent has done that at least once, bare minimum.

It's easy to do

You get a bunch of people together and everyone thinks the other person has the child.

Friend had a huge wedding a few years after 2 of his children were born. After the wedding all went back to the house. People then starting leaving to go the reception. Last was 6 of us guys. In the car, the groom realized he left his Tux jacket and we went back. Sleeping on his bed was their youngest daughter. Everybody just assumed someone else had her and with so many people, it's easy to forget.

Hell, with 2 people it can be the, "I thought you had the kid." "No I thought you did."

Not this parent.

We had someone locally forget that she hadn't dropped off her kid at daycare. Went in to work and the baby baked in the car all day.

I am paranoid about leaving my kids ANYWHERE and keep close tabs on 'em when we're out.
