A trippy Blade Runner
 

Swedish artist Anders Ramsell is taking on the challenge of recreating the cult sci-fi film entirely in aquarelle paintings. This is only part one; it's 12 minutes and consists of 3,285 paintings already.

This animation is made of 3285 aquarelle paintings and form the very beginning of my paraphrase on the motion picture Blade Runner (1982) by Ridley Scott. The sound is borrowed from the original movie.

Weird and fascinating... definitely original in concept and execution.

Not sure that pastel/aquarelel applies itself to the dark, murky moodiness of Blade Runner though... but interesting.

Should have gotten a better audio track though...

wow, bad-ass! I can't imagine how long it took him for those 12 minutes of video. Prometheus will probably be a cult classic by the times he is done with blade runner

I love that movie with all my being.. cool concept/obsession this guy has.. but as much as I love Blade Runner I could only watch a couple minutes of the paintings

I started watching it but stopped. I applause his efforts and talent, but I can't connect the bright painting and colours to the dark mood of the movie.
