GFY shooters - what say you?
Canon just released its first mirrorless consumer camera. At first I thought
Canon really hit it out of the park with this one. Their first mirrorless camera (so it's smaller) but still uses interchangeable lenses, it can shoot HD video with AUTO FOCUS (still cameras have not had this ability until now,) and it's under $1000! Holy shitballs!" But you folks who actually shoot full time... what do you think? You can use your current lenses with an (optional) adapter. |
And here I went, entering into this thread think it was either an:
A) Gun enthusiast thread which would undoubtedly bring Matthews out oft he closet, or Deej into the spotlight... B) yet another anti-gun thread regarding the Batman shooting bullshit. I fail. :( |
Well I came into the thread praying that Elli was coming to Vegas and wanted someone to shoot a POV scene of her.
heh-heh-heh |
It's pretty much the same camera as the t4i. Consumer level stuff.
|
Aw, sorry to disappoint, guys :)

I picked up the Canon SX-150is a few months ago ... My daughter was about to be born, and I wanted a 'decent' camera that I could take anywhere just for sharing photos with friends and family, without having to lug around the Rebel and my lenses, filters, etc ...
I am VERY VERY HAPPY with this camera! It has the same Digimac4 sensor it it as my Rebel does, and has all the same shoot modes the rebel has too! I can use it fully manual, fully auto, or anywhere in between. The 720p HD video is very clean, and the colors are as warm as what made Canon what it is ... and the zoom is full active in video mode with no evidence of zoom noise! http://deals.sulekhalive.com/common/photos/4046.jpg The only caveat I have been able to find thus far, is the battery life. This camera sucks the life out of (2 AA) alkaline batteries like no tomorrow, but my camera guy told me to buy 4 Nickel Metal Hydride Energizer Rechargables, and now knock out a good 350 pics on one set of batteries (with the second set on standby in my pocket), or 100+ pics with flash. I can certainly live with this battery life. One other small nuisance is the flash takes 8-10 seconds to recharge ... Other than that, I can say nothing bad about this camera. I honestly think Rebel is getting a wee bit jealous as it sits at home on my desk. :Oh crap |
Damn are you sexy Elli
|
I will buy one later...
My 5d with 70-200 2.8 weight like half of me, and the only time i am using this camera it's when i need to work. Overall, i want something much more light for myself, i believe this way i will take much more pictures :) |
there's ton of people shooting these days
|
I don't see why having a mirrorless camera would be that big of a deal... it's not like DSLR cameras suffer from any weight issues

Now a days, why not just use your cell phones unless your shooting for pro quality? I know older cell phones are slow but the built in camera in the galaxy s3 is fast and clean.
|
Elli, I'm sorry.
I tried to concentrate on your question. But damn it! I can't stop my browser from jumping over to http://elli-nude.com/ And then I'm hypnotized and can't think cause all the blood is rushing to my penis. :) |
