Thanks CCbill!
For yet another already refunded transaction that you chargeback anyway.
So you make the effort to try to keep the cc-thiefs away from your sites and then when you catch and refund the the same day, then you are chargebacked anyway. And then if you complain about that, you get a reply from CCBill like: "We however can not stop a chargeback because only the customer's bank has control of that. I would also not be able to credit your account for that amount since we do not have the ability to do so. I would like to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you." Great service, exactly what we need.... |
it happend the same thing to me (3 transactions)

It's not CCBill's problem, it's your problem. This has been discussed in another thread, but what you have to do is make it very very easy for customers to contact you (in case your service isn't working or isn't what was promised), and keep a close eye on all sales. If you can can detect that this might happen with a sale, you can void the transaction before it becomes a chargeback.

The thing is that they can respond to a cb and show that the customer was already refunded.

All together I think it happened close to 10 times already and this only happened with CCBill, not with any of the other payment processors we use. |
ah, the dreaded double dip.
I have had a few of those in the past, even though I could see a transaction was fraudulent and I couldn't void it straight away (I had a spate of persistent piracy sign ups last year and went over my tempvoid limit it was that bad!) So I refunded it the following day and that also got charged back later much to my annoyance. CCbill wouldn't give me anything back and said basically "shit happens" as it is the bank that processed the CB even though I was trying to be vigilante and refunded as soon as poss, that CB happened pretty quick! I've done a test refund in the past and it takes a week from sign up to show on my UK card... long time, I can see why if someone saw something on their online statement they'd call their bank and get it sorted while the refund was being processed, but it still seems shit to have to endure both! Shit happens, fortunately, not very often like that. Just keep an eye on all new sign ups is all I'll say... I won't say more as "thar be pirates" :) |

It?s the new way to get free porn and double your money back. CCBill doesn?t care, it?s not coming out of their wallet. |
how the hell can they be refunded and the cc company chargeback, surely the statement shows a refund? ive not seen this happen on our account, i can understand why you are so fucked off, i would be too
|
In the 1 or 2 times I've considered a refund, I've called CCBill first. Never do it on your own.

thus is the concept and beauty of middlemenry... transactions coming in from the north, south, east, and west, a little razzle dazzle here...a little stall and jive over there...and rinse and repeat...
Knowing what I now know...we would have done much better pursuing careers in middlemenry....low risk....high yield...plausible deniability...no INDEPENDENT oversight...and play chess and laugh like a psychopath all the way to the bank... You guys think the chargebacks are hurtful....well how about denials and declines that are not really denials and declines... I know someone who recently had a new type of transaction called an *approval decline* Bet you would like to know what that is.... I hear you saying its no such thing as an approval decline...a transaction is either approved or declined....lol you have much to learn grasshoppers |
i remember hating having to explain that to clients...banks are all different and non-standard things happen all the time that are a pain in the ass
ie that happens and its worth more trouble to fix it per transaction than its worth, consumers will call ccbill, then the bank right away just to be sure... |
