Is there anything new coming out that's worth waiting?

Next year Intel is releasing a new line.

But for now you can get Sandy Bridge / Ivy Bridge. They are pretty cheap. I got myself I-7 3820, it's pretty powerful and supports 4-channel memory mode.

Expect to pay $200 for CPU + $200 for mobo.

Only 200? I see processors that are 900 euro's. Any idea how big the difference in speed is? Is it huge or just like 10%.

I just got one with this: 2nd Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3960X six-core processor [3.3GHz, Shared 15MB Cache]

It was crazy expensive. I haven't tested it yet, but will report back once I do.

You don't need those.

For $200-$250 you can get a kickass CPU.

I suggest you just grab Core I7 3820 (it overclocks really good, i run mine at 4.6Ghz)
