Did you recently take a hit in traffic from Google? Did your rankings drop significantly for some big paysite names?

I can answer that: yes

But I lost other keywords... not particularly "paysite names"...

Seeing nothing but tubes, surfer forums and torrent sites for those terms, where I used to see review sites. None in the top 100 for many big paysite names.

I'm only tracking cam products, but the biggest ones of those are competitive terms just like major paysites I believe. Certainly review sites have dropped for many of those terms. But has happened to one of my review sites, but other are not hit. No logic that I can see. I'm still seeing many results from the same domain for some product queries in defiance of all logic, same in mainstream.

I don't think "product name" is going to point to reviews so much now, you have to say "product name review" if you want to see reviews listed.

I've noticed this as well. Would be interesting to hear some insight from some review sites on this.

Those are so 2002... I remember FreeHugeMovies (FHM) put a lot of energy and money into setting up a review site, and when he finished it, the model got obsolete.

Well we would like to think so. But I've seen a depressing lack of difference in conversions between sites with good detailed honest helpful reviews, and ones which are pure drivel. If punters were actually *reading* you would think it would make more of a difference.

Actually with selling cams I think I just need to get him to visit the site, it's the job of the camgirl to get him hard. And the job of the site is to get him as quickly as possible to the particular girl who is just right for him.

If I'm to do anything on my side it's more to do with reassurances and pre-answering any questions or doubts he might have that would stop him signing up. That's why I talk through the signup process in the review, so when he actually get to do it there are no surprises, it goes smoothly. The smoother it runs, the less hesitation, the less opportunities to chicken out.

I've bought DinoReviews.com from original owner Andromeda and we are working on resurrecting the site. It already made back its price and I do believe it will work well. I know about at least 2 very good quality and built review sites which are making bank still, so I have no idea where's your info from. :2 cents:

Review sites surely aren't dead. They still send a ton of signups. Traffic isn't what it was, but they're still kicking.

It's all about quality, deep, inbound links, which a lot of review sites lack IMO.

i know TheBestPorn still generates a couple of joins a day with some programs. their closest competitor RabbitsReviews is far from that, but still doing okay. there's a couple of other established review sites, but it's completely different ratio and profit.
the review sites segment is in stable decline because of decrease in a number of porn buyers and people don't bother too read anymore, they are just clicking thru images and videos.

i've seen sales stats of a dozen of different programs and saw review sales, i know what i'm talking about.

You are seriously saying that you have the inside scoop as to how many sales TBP does per day? And you are further saying that they do "a couple of joins a day", with RR being "far from that"?

You didn't twist anything. To most people, a couple is 2 or 3.

My guess is that some review sites still kill it and will continue to do so. But what the F do I know. I wish I thought of starting one myself. Prob too late at this point to enter game.
