They seem to be losing their edge. Nothing new. Just going back to their old formula of hot cars and pretty girls when they can't innovate. It is just a paycheck.

OMG they sound so tired. The drummer sounds asleep, and the gangsta hand gestures by the singer makes him look ridiculous. Hot babes though but meh.

I disagree.

The music kicks ass. When it comes to Texas blues he is THE man on guitar. And I'm digging the drum beat too. That intro to the song is some fucking great stuff. And the little "funk" guitar bridge going out of the lead break is bad as hell. :pimp

There are people in this world that don't get music from bands like ZZTop or Stevie Ray Vaugh. I feel sorry for them.

the guitar sound is unbelievable for sure and Billy's phrasing is totally amazing.

Just read a review on the album in the latest Rolling Stone.
It's produced by Rick Rubin. He has a knack for pulling the very best out of artists and taking them back to their roots.

Dude...it sounded nothing like their 80's stuff.

It's raw and rootsy like their 70's stuff. But the song is a rap song from the 1990's.

And if that drum beat on the intro with the complete turnaround of the downbeat isn't fucking bad ass as hell...then you are just not paying attention.

And the guitar tones Billy is using to play age old blues licks is fucking refreshing as hell.

Sounds to me like a band who came into the studio with Rick Rubin and he pulled out the best in them. Sounds like they came in with something to prove and succeeded.
