There use to be this mod for forums called "miserable user" or "troll mod" which makes banning unnecessary. Happened to my first nick on GFY when I was a link spamming noob many years ago. :1orglaugh Would work wonders now, but it seems like they use these guys to rouse the rabble these days.

Tachy Goes to Coventry. Basically to the user they don't notice anything but nobody responding to them.. To everyone else, that user stopped posting. Awesome plugin.
