Thanks for your time. |
This is like insane art. How do they know which art sells and which art doesn't sell. Sometimes they have to add more green paint or more yellow paint. That could make sense to you. No art is going to sell without some kind of a sales effort.

It is easy you start by selling everything when you find something that sells you sell more of that and less of the other

What it is with fucking pointless idiots who disagree with stuff without bothering to explain why, or give an alternative?

There are successful people and failures in every market, for everything, in the entire world. This includes porn niches. You need to focus on something and make it work, not try to do too many things at once and hope one of them works out. Doing stuff like that is for scaling a working project, not starting a new one. If you look at beks posts he is all over the place with ideas and what he wants to do.. with a join date of 2006. If he doesn't get it by now he likely never will. I gave him solid advice in the past, it was to get a job. |
I am ambivalent towards beks. One the one hand he does seem to ask endless questions about all kinds of different shit, like he wants to be spoonfed non-stop from absolutely everyone.
On the other, he's asking things that might be helpful to other people, and it's no worse than any other kind of thread here, and better than a lot of them. WRT doing 'everything', I see what you mean about not having focus (and that ties in with beks seemingly trying to do all kinds of different things), and I agree. Though within the realm you're focusing on, it makes complete sense to drop 'products' (sites/sponsors) that don't sell/convert. Anyway, thanks for the more meaningful answer. :) |

The problem is if you test out everything you can find, you can never truly offer a fair test to any product. Without a fair test, you will never get accurate data, and you will never find a good product that is worth scaling so that you can make real bank. How to Test a Product: 1) Find a product that you believe will sell based on your experience or your personal preference. 2) Develop a plan that allows you to send traffic to the product based on varying traffic theories. Example: don't just send blog traffic. Your product might not work well with blog traffic, but it might work great with tube traffic. Test multiple traffic sources and traffic generation theories. 3) Test different marketing/sales aspects of the product. Your product might have multiple landing pages. Test them all. Create your own. Sometimes the one that seems the most obvious, works the worst. 4) Store all of the data from above. Then analyze. You need real data, not one week of 100 clicks a day. To really test a product, you need thousands of clicks from each traffic source in most cases. The right products you can do a proper test with a few hundred clicks, but you really need to know what you are doing. 5) Take your best performers from Step 4. Scale until you can scale no longer. 6) You can always scale more. Be creative in order to scale more or find another product and start again from Step 1. Saturday morning GFY education. |
Why would someone asking a lot of questions be a bad thing? I ask questions all the time knowing what the correct answer is, but I like to see what other people think about it, too. Who knows, I might have missed something or someone else could have a great suggestion to make affiliate marketing even better, both for me and anyone else reading. If you don't like it, fuck off and don't read it.
Too many simple questions is much better than a bunch of copy/pasted news stories that I read on Yahoo yesterday... (Give me a couple of days and I'll get Beks001 up to speed with blogging ;) ) |

Now the situation is different though. TGPs are done and you cant effectively test different niches/sites in a short period. Blog traffic is fucking slow and you build it in a long run, so focusing on one niche may be the only way to go. |
