Why is beer on tap so much better than bottled?

Tadpoles.

Wow really? Why don't they add tadpoles to the bottles?

its never been bottled. if you bottle beer use plastic. :2 cents: when i bottle my beer i put in 2 liters.

I'm sure there's some cool scientific reason for it, but just wondered. Some craft beers are just so much better on tap, than in bottles.

Depends on the beer, some bottled beers are awesome too.

In a barrel it will be stored better and is going to be used quicker too I expect - probably has less added preserving chemicals. Also being poured from a tap into a glass will affect how it tastes with the main part of taste being your sense of smell.

Beer ontap is more fresh. It has way less preservatives in it.

and I have a lot of experience with tasting the same brews both straight from the brewer and bottled. Sometimes draft beer sold at a gastropub will taste different that from the brewery/brewpub because the temperature and/or gas pressure will be off.

Doesn't it have something to do with not seeing light / daylight? Plus also the heating up / cooling down that a bottle will experience

thats part of it. the best beer you can get is a local brewery. :2 cents: or make it yourself :winkwink:
