Too early to pay attention to that. I'm looking at battleground states.

Florida is 36% reported with Obama leading 51 to 48
Virginia is 8% reported with Romney leading 59 to 40
Ohio is way too early to tell and nobody else matters.

11% of the votes in and they are projecting winners?

Pa. matters.

I just made this thread for fun, I know none of this is final. But it will be something to look back at later.

Exactly, most states are always the same. I only want to know about the Battle Ground or ones that might switch.

Repubs always take a lead, as the big D states report late.

Oh, I also like to watch the popular Vote.....

Same reason that surveys or studies that use 1,000 people can be broadened to more or less envelop all people: statistics.

Not to say stuff can't change - I used to think that was poor to do too, but the last couple elections I've paid attention to where they called states with that little, it didn't really get any closer as more #s were reported.

Popular vote should decide the winner, now its possible to lose election even if you are supported by more people than your opponent, its wrong.

They must be results, if they were predictions they would include more decided states that are 100% clear. However I see some of these states with "results" showing 0 voters. So I am confused why these states that show 0 voters are included in the results. I mean most of the marked states has numbers but couple of them has zeros, however they are included as a "result" and has either blue or red color.

SmutHammer 11-06-2012 06:28 PM

Sad thing is the ghetto states of America have a lot of electoral votes.

Funny part is, I didn't pay attention when they explained the electoral vote thing, but when they did I still said UMM what?

I believe they said they use the electoral College so states with more population can not control who is president, but then they go and give the states with the most people the most electoral votes?

Guess I should of not fucked off in class, like I could change it anyway!

Wild guess:
It could still be that they give less electorial votes than would be normal proportion.
Rough example:
a state 5 million people
b state 10 million people

a state x electorial votes, state b less than 2x electrial votes. So voting power of state b is reduced compared to what it would have with popular voting system.

PornoMonster 11-06-2012 06:37 PM

NBC is saying that it comes down to Florida Mostly it has 28 votes and is a swing state. If Obama doesn't win Florida, then it gets heated, so far looks like he has a huge lead in Florida

Yeah I like it because it refreshes every two minutes with actual numbers... so I am not taking the word of a pundit. Granted the page does call some states before they even report... but if those states voted Romney to begin with then Obama would have zero chance.

MK Ultra 11-06-2012 06:42 PM

Just getting ready for all eventualities :winkwink:

If Obama wins:
SUCK IT REPUBLICANS! WE WON!!

If Romney wins:
SUCK IT DEMOCRATS! WE WON!!

If either of those two douchebags wins:
SUCK IT AMERICA! WE LOSE!!

:2 cents: Got Change?

I sure hope he does get Florida, but I wouldn't exactly say it is in the bag.

Who cares about these current numbers, its clear that if FL is to Obama then he wins (looking at Ohio results).

Not really, almost 80% of FL votes are in... Oh is clear Obama so far. So its almost decided. Romney's only chance is to win FL, otherwise its done.

epitome 11-06-2012 07:20 PM

Obama likely has Florida. Broward and Miami-Dade and blue counties and they are still very behind on reporting. Most of the red counties are mostly reported but have low population counts.

Obama is likely taking Tampa, Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade... in other words, where the population is.

Its fucking close - I could still fly to the US and hand out dollar bills to decide the next president.

If it comes down to Florida it could cost me less than my last car....

Cleo 11-06-2012 07:20 PM

This is a pretty good page to watch the results as they come in.
