Amendment 64 Passes: Colorado Legalizes Marijuana For Recreational Use

I voted yes, but I'm still utterly shocked it passed (although only 38% reporting right now).

CyberHustler 11-06-2012 09:40 PM

I shed a tear of joy...

taxed and regulated

keysync 11-06-2012 09:44 PM

Is that the only state that was on the ballot?

No, Washington and another one I think.

Nookster 11-06-2012 09:52 PM

Oregon also. Just confirmed.

Helix 11-06-2012 09:54 PM

Will be interesting to see if Obama and Holder continue the raids and closures. I expect they will.

Yep - The price of weed just tripled in Colorado.

Its still illegal here in the UK - Thank god....

CyberHustler 11-06-2012 10:10 PM

I don't care about it being taxed, regulated and going up in price. As long as it isn't a crime anymore. This gets us a little closer. I think Washington legalized it too.

kane 11-06-2012 10:14 PM

It is going to fail here in Oregon, but it is going to pass in Washington.

All the Portland smokers will be heading over the bridge for their weed.

pornstar.tv 11-06-2012 10:26 PM

does this make my marijuana domains go up in value?

thanks,

J

They won't have to appease the big donors in the Alcohol and Tobacco industries now that they will not run again.

BIGTYMER 11-06-2012 10:33 PM

Medical weed is everywhere. I'm cool. :)

But congrats to Colorado! The Feds will bark but do nothing. They can't. The people there are majorly pot friendly. Just try to find a jury without one pothead there. Good luck! Smoke up!

Yes, because the FBI doesn't have better things to do than arrest pot smokers.

Brent 3dSexCash 11-06-2012 10:48 PM

If anything i would have thought Oregon passes and Colorado doesn't.

I thought the Oregon vote would pass as well. I live here and up to today the polls showed it pretty close. However, this is a strange state. The Portland metro area and Willamette Valley areas are among the most liberal places in the nation but the coast and the eastern part of the state are all pretty conservative.

There's a ton of conservatives as well. Stoners didn't make this happen, the conservatives played a larger part.

The war on drugs is a waste of time, resources, and money. And it's the .gov stepping on personal freedoms of Americans.

The bill didn't pass because people wanted to get high, it passed because people wanted a better government.

(I don't even smoke weed and I voted for it)

Do you think the FBI is walking around the streets of Denver looking for people smoking pot? The Feds might be an issue for businesses trying to sell / distribute marijuana, but we've had medical marijuana now for a long time and they haven't come down on them.

Sorry, but the Feds don't have the reach to go after citizens using and possessing marijuana. Citizens are policed by local and state municipals, not federal officers. :2 cents:
