I watched Battle Royale today
 

The author of The Hunger Games claims she has never read Battle Royale or watched Battle Royale. I haven't read either book, have only watched the movies, but I don't see how that could even be possible.

A coincidence of a loose storyline is one thing, but when you see a "similar" element over and over again, there is no way she didn't read or watch it.

Either way, I enjoyed both movies. I was expecting a little more gore from Battle Royale, actually.

Hunger games = watered down Battle Royale.

I have seen other very similar movies in the past.
One was with a group of prisoners, forgot the title

BR is Tarantino's favourite movie of all time

started watching 13 last night

Nerver heard of the book but hunger games movie sucks. Come on. They should have called it "hannah montana goes camping".

Yeah, she's pretty much full of it. Check out BR 2 - more splatter. Of course Machine Gun Girl and Tokyo Gore Police are nice for blood bukkake if you are into it.

I've seen both. BR I really enjoyed, but HG I couldn't even finish - I literally fell asleep...

I saw BR when it came out and was also expecting much much more. It is an ok flick.
