Next week the United Nations' International Telecommunications Union will meet in Dubai to figure out how to control the Internet. Representatives from 193 nations will attend the nearly two week long meeting, according to news reports.

They really don't care about controlling it. What they want is to create a bureaucracy for the excuse of taxation to create a new revenue stream. But I'm quite sure they will come up with a bunch of "laws" along the way.

Governments perceive it as a threat and grow more fearful when the masses are empowered with free and unlimited access to knowledge.

Sure, they'll say the opposite in public. But behind close doors, I'm sure they're dreaming up ways to keep control.

They've already seen what's happened to organized religion in an age of enlightenment and open sharing of knowledge.

Knowledge is power.
