I would imagine you have gun nuts snapping up assault rifles quickly before they are outlawed, and others who buy firearms strictly for protection who now feel threatened.

I purchased two new pieces that I've been wanting this weekend. Getting grandfathered for when the prospectively laws are presented. I'd imagine you'll see a lot of sport shooters lining up to get the pieces they want before and radical legislation in enacted, because it is coming. An all out ban on firearms will never happen, but the GOV needs to do something to appease the radicals for the time being. Look for some random, mediocre affecting laws over the next few years.

Knife crime here is pretty bad. Doesn't make me want to carry a knife everywhere i go though.

I think it's quite sad for the memory of those kids who died that peoples reaction is to simply go out and buy more guns. Which was the problem in the first place...
