shooting attempt at my sons school

so yesterday i get a phone call from my sons school saying they went into lock down but didnt say why as it was a recording. I later found out that they went into lock down because 2 students brought guns to school and they even had a hit list on them...WTF is wrong with these people?? Luckly they found them before they could do any harm to any one. But still scary shit to think about :(

That's fucked up big time.

ColBigBalls 12-18-2012 01:00 PM

The really bad thing is this happens more often then not. Be it a knife or gun but it happens and that's the problem. Everyone is hyper sensitive to it right now and rightfully so But violence in schools is not getting any better. Violence in society isn't getting any better and there in lies the issue =(

scuba steve 12-18-2012 01:11 PM

i just read today a 6th grader brought a gun to school to protect himself from other kids. this is spiraling out of control :(

shake 12-18-2012 01:32 PM

Glad your kid was okay, must have been really frightening.

pornguy 12-18-2012 01:32 PM

think the owners of the guns will be charged with a crime for letting the kids get their hands on them?

If not, they should be. Part of your duty as a responsible gun owner is keeping it out of the hands of others.

EDIT: Glad to hear that nothing came to fruition Riggo and that your son is safe

If your 6th grader was able to find your gun, take it and go to school with it, you should be in jail.

I am all for the "people are the problem" argument, I think people are a problem, but here, guns are the problem, whether it is how people treat them, how people view them, how people store them, or how people use them, (all going back to people being problems/idiots) guns are still a huge problem.

so Dad will lose his license, but is that enough? it wouldn't be for me, like I have said 1000 times, i have no issues with responsible people having guns, but something went wrong here and if it was daddy's fault daddy should spend some time in jail so he understands what the consequences of putting the lives of a bunch of kids at risk. Sometimes, with some things, you shouldn't get a second chance, and the first offense punishment should be stiff.

TrainWreckContent 12-18-2012 02:39 PM

thanks guys I am very thankful he was ok and all the other kids in that school.

yeah i also agree that if you own a gun you have to be responsible. Allowing that weapon to end up in the hand of someone else is unexceptable and there should be very stiff punishmetns for crimes like this.

HelmutKohl 12-18-2012 03:22 PM

Many thanks to NRA for their disregard to human life in the name of so called freedom.
"Guns don't kill! " yeah, right.
Rather people who have no guns don't kill... Fox News just said, the best solution would be to arm all the teachers in every school !!!( I guess all bus drivers, kitchen ladies etc. as well ) :helpme

Barry-xlovecam 12-18-2012 03:24 PM

These are most desperate times for a lot of people. Combine that with this end of the world on the 21st mantra and the depression caused by unachievable commercial expectations of the year end holiday season -- this all makes for an explosive situation.

Closing schools and colleges early makes sense right now. Even to go as far as to avoid crowded public places ...

'Tis the season for fear and hatred, sadly ...

TrainWreckContent 12-18-2012 03:31 PM

my son just got home and told me there was more details today. I guess the shooting was supposed to take place this friday not yesterday so there are rumors going around about this friday now. I will probably just keep him home that day

I grew up in a home that not only had numerous guns but some were loaded at all times. I would never think about using my fathers guns OR taking his keys and using his car. Parents that can't parent and fucked up kids are the problem and I see nothing but it getting worse.

.

Penny24Seven 12-18-2012 03:44 PM

bomb threat at 2 school in town and rumors of a shooting cause more then 85% of kids to miss school today in my town and same BS going on Friday, police armed with AM and dogs all over the schools today

bronco67 12-18-2012 03:58 PM

The NRA is using their usual tactic of keeping quiet and waiting for the outrage to pass -- then they throw millions of dollars at Congressmen to kill anti-gun law.

seeandsee 12-18-2012 04:07 PM

I would imagine the first thing that should be done is to lock up the child and the owner of the gun - for safety. Loosing the gun, the permit, and or a fine is just not enough. A criminal offense involving a handgun has taken place, and someone should do time for it. The gun owner should to prison, and the son should do time too - this is a very very serious offense.

AllAboutCams 12-18-2012 06:42 PM

Glad he is ok
That seems crazy i dont think i could let my kids go back to school i thought that USA schools had metal detectors.
Also what do the kids get that brought the guns? a slap on the wrist or mandatory life sentencing.
