Why don't we consider "bigotry" is a crime against humanity?
We considered racism is a crime, nazis were long gone, but yet we are trying to bring democracy to Syria with some sick minded people most them whom are belong to islamist ideologies while an other bigotic regime Soudi Arabia claimed to be a freedom sponsor in Syria?
For the side note: Asad is kind of secullar, Syrian Women got their voting rights in 40s while Women in Soudi Arabia isn't allowed havving driving licences even today. if i get back to my point, why don't we fight against these kinda ideologies and why don't we press international society to make laws against these sick groups who promotes hate mongering and terrorism? it's not just about islamafascism offcourse, feminazis, some form of comunists and fewer extreme christian and jew groups could be added to this list as well :2 cents: so discuss... |
btw. i wasn't around here for sometime so greetings and gfy everyone...

it's simple really bigotry is a thought process, not an act. You cannot criminalize people's thoughts, only their actions. You can criminalize speech and calls to violence are already illegal at least in the US especially if some nut job actually listens to the speech and goes out and commits crimes because of it. Unfortunately the prosecution of the idiot who made the hate speech would most likely be dependent on a criminal act resulting from it.
FYI: I don't know where you were going with it but 'Feminazi' is a term coined by Rush Limbaugh in the very early 90s to describe women involved in the feminist movement. It is in itself a sexist term :winkwink: |

Everybody hates somebody, it's part of being human. We all seem to need to think we are better than someone else. It's not in fashion right this minute to use certain specific races and sexual orientations to bolster our need to feel superior but that doesn't mean anyone has stopped being a bigot for one second. Most of the people who celebrate their own tolerance the most are just patting themselves on the back for being big enough to tolerate "those people".
The point is, it's practicing discrimination that is wrong, not having a preference in the first place. We all have preferences whether we admit it or not. |

i m not talking about criminilizing thoughts, i simply say why don't we fight with organizations and sick ideologies that are based on bigotry like we do it against racism? and yea i know where the term feminazi is coming from but the difference between me and Mr Limbaugh is i see abortion is the thing thats up to mother's decision, so nothing sexist here, i just see feminazis are the kind of bigotic people who used bastardized form of feminism as a theme to put pressure and prohibit other Men and Women's consentual rights. |
