Apple / iPhone / iCloud is scary good... but scary...
 

So the other day I was watching Big Bang Theory, and Raj told Siri on his iPhone to call him "Sexy". I didn't know you could do that, and tried it and it worked. Cute..! I then changed the name to something else, and forgot about it.

But then I noticed that this cute little nickname had also been applied as a nickname on my MAC EMAIL, by itself. This happened because my phone syncs to my mac and ipad through the cloud, effortlessly.

And also tonight, I noticed that when I paused my TV, the screensaver was replaced with all of the photos I had stored on my iphone. We just got over a few parties and there were some crazy nekkid chicks on it, which were now on my TV. I didn't put them there - they just - appeared. Good thing my Mom or judgmental in-laws weren't visiting...

Still love Apple products, but I'm thinking twice about this cloud stuff...

Better don't store porn on your iphone or it will get synced to everywhere as well.

You just gotta learn to manage the cloud and keep the private stuff out of it. Icloud and the way all the devices sync works very very well through.

Ditto for the ipad?

Correct. But it's only under the category "Photo Stream". Photo Roll doesn't show cloud content.

How much you paid for all that fun?

You need to learn to read instructions and features etc.

Nothing gets copied to my Photo Stream. I backup my photos a few other ways.
