What tools to use to make wordpress friendlier for the DB?
 

What tools are there available that make using wordpress less system resources?
I'm especially interested in anything that's wordpress "network/ MU" related. So if I have 123456754 wordpress subdomains etc... I want to make it as easy as possible on my servers. Any suggestions?

nginx
mysql tuning
memcached
w3 total cache plugin
maxcdn or another cdn for images.
