hooked up ac router myself recently, it's pretty sweet... you must be very close to the router, i'm at the opposite end of the house where router is and it's connected at 500mbps

i use it for HD torrent movie streaming from my NAS

It's just buggy stat in windows. Use some smarter speed measuring tool.
