Fringe (TV Show) is almost done... what else is there?

Found Fringe a few months ago, been working through all the episodes... but now it is almost over. Any recommendations for a new good show?

Other than...

Boardwalk Empire
Dexter
The Borgias
The Walking Dead
Sons of Anarchy
Game of Thrones
True Blood
Shameless
Californication

If you like all those shows you will love Homeland. If you pay for Showtime you can see them all on Showtime Anytime App.

The show is great. I watched both seasons in 3 days, and the show is an hour...

Danny B 01-08-2013 11:27 PM

You guys watch junk! I watch Swamp People and nothing else.

CyberHustler 01-09-2013 12:08 AM

Im on season 3 of Weeds. Seems like it's getting cornier by the season, but I'm still satisfied.

Diomed 01-09-2013 12:08 AM

Most of those shows are garbage. These are worthy.

Boardwalk Empire
Deadwood
Game of Thrones

Awake was (liked it) cancelled after one season and didn't end very well. I forgot to add "hell on wheels" to list before, though it's also under a cloud atm. So I hear....

Choopa_Pardo 01-09-2013 08:46 AM

The Wire!
Suits
The X-Files

VenzuelanChick 01-09-2013 08:54 AM

Carnivāle :thumbsup

MrBottomTooth 01-09-2013 10:31 AM

Everyone raves about the wire but I've never been able to make it through a whole episode without losing interest. Do you have to watch it from the start or something? Mad men is another one. The whole smoking/drinking/womanizing thing wears off after one episode, then you're left with what is essentially equivalent to a daytime soap opera.

Spartacus is great.

For something fluffy and entertaining I'd say Strike Back(Cinemax)

Of course, watching The Wire is something to do before you die, and you'll be a more awesome person for having seen it in it's entirety. All together, it's like an epic crime novel for television, but don't expect to be instantly sucked in. It's a slow cooker, but I'd say its the most rewarding piece of filmed entertainment I've ever watched.

Don't watch it the way you normally watch any other show. There are no weekly payoffs, and every season ties together. Like I said in the above post, you have to be patient and you'll be paid off. I'd say force yourself to watch the first 4 episodes, and if you don't want to watch more after that -- then it's not for you.

bronco67 01-09-2013 01:13 PM

How is Fringe, by the way? After I watch Deadwood, I'm thinking about getting the entire series of Fringe.
