Looking to add a keyword search to website
 

Hello all,

I'm looking to get a keyword search added to my website. Currently I have a simple "profile name" search which obviously isn't enough. I am looking for a search that can work with my existing database and crawl through the list of descriptions for each update I add.

Possibly something more complicated than that as well, like people being able to choose only to get results that feature nudity then only updates with certain keywords like "nude", "naked", "bare boobs" etc. in addition to whatever keyword they input get listed. Maybe more than that, we can discuss what features make sense.

And of course the search results it churns out have to come out fast.

You can do this on various ways, if you database is not very large up to let say 250.000 rows or something just use mysql full text search, if it is bigger, for performance it is best to use open source search server called sphinx.
