Performance of Metallica

This is legendary! The atmosphere, the music, the electricity and the goosebumps at the beginning are just fantastic.

The beginning is from The Unforgiven, both from the eponymous Metallica album.

This is my personal go to song above anything.

1978 live performance with Bon Scott as the front man - absolutely legendary song and performance.

FAIL! :1orglaugh

Did you listen to more than 2 seconds of each of those? :winkwink:

The intro to Enter Sandman is called "The Ecstacy of Gold." It was from the movie "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly." Metallica has been using it at the beginning of their shows for years.

I think you mean the intro to the Enter Sandman clip above, not the into to the song as it was recorded and released on the self named Metallica album.

Yes, they have been using the riff from the Sergio Leone movie for years, but it was The Unforgiven from the same album (and later The Unforgiven 2 and The Unforgiven 3) that laid the track down on an album. :winkwink:

What? I'm not even sure what you're saying at this point, so I'll just cover everything. The first 55 seconds of the live clip of Enter Sandman is "Ecstacy of Gold." From there, they go straight into the guitar riff that starts Enter Sandman, as recorded on the album. The "official video" clip of Enter Sandman starts with the guitar riff from the beginning of the song, again, as recorded on the album. The Unforgiven video, and the recording on the Black Album, start with the horn sound that also starts The Unforgiven II. It is actually believed that the horn sound (which was reversed to hide its source) is from the movie, "For A Few Dollars More." (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...9183436AAGVxN2)

There's nothing at the beginning of Enter Sandman (live, recorded, etc.) that is from The Unforgiven.

Remember it like it was yesterday.

Saw more songs performed from that concert.. So intense with the military and everything. MOSCOW!!!

How about this ?? A cross between Metallica and Journey :) The band's whole album is mixes of like an 80s pop/rock songs and an 80s hair/metal band.

You're right, I'm wrong. :bowdown Mea culpa.

In my head, I had linked the two scores as being one and the same.

Just kidding. It's cool man. I used to eat, sleep and breathe Metallica back in the day. Now, not so much, but when I'm positive I'm right about something, I'll argue it to the death.

Anyone bought/saw their new DVD filmed here in Quebec ?

Quebec Magnetic

https://youtube.com/watch?v=UHhDep1NzWE

I was a big Metallica Fan, but After And Justice for all, when they became MetalliCASH i quit on them, the black Album is "decent" and the rest after that is all crak imo,,,

Still they are good in show, and better if they play Old songs :)

I saw them like 10 times and i hope i will see again...

I was at Montreal Canadian game yesterday and they 5 like Metallica songs... i was impress to hear Blackened over there :)
