SSDs in raid VS add in card
I'm getting pretty good speed on this Kingston Hyper-X 3k SSD, a little faster than the Corsair Force GT I had back in the day, but I still end up with the drive being a bit of a bottleneck sometimes. . . Is there any addin card that would be cheaper than raiding two SSDs? I seriously doubt the reliability of either of the two, which sucks, but I want more speed

480gb is around 600 bucks ...windows 8 boots in 4 seconds |
Holy god, yeah those are what I was talking about but I had no idea they were that good...
Read: Up to 1500 MB/s Write: Up to 1225 MB/s Max Random Write 4KB (Aligned): 200,000 IOPS I'd have to have four SSDs in raid to even come CLOSE to that Is windows 8 a lot more to boot into? This system the the aforementioned SSD and I5-3570k cold boots in 9 seconds so I would imagine one of those things could probably do it in three Well, a couple of those seconds are the bios screen anyway I guess |
Just make sure you buy the correct model if you want Win 8 support. Also I am finding 480gb is an over kill, i should have gone with a 120gb version.
