I have one from 2011, a 5 Bitcoin one from 2012 and a 1 btc one from 2013. Probably smart to buy one and hold on to it. He makes a few thousand of each, collectors items.

Each coin has a hologram on it, which points to a bitcoin on the blockchain. if the hologram is broken you can retrieve the private key to claim the bitcoin. No bitcoins are added to circulation
