I did cocaine when I was a kid. I was quickly on the road to no where, dropped out of high school, dead end jobs... The Marine Corps changed my life.

I'll never do drugs again, ever. I'm not even tempted.

I also quit smoking and drinking. No more hacking, and parties are oh so much more fun when you are sober and everyone is making an ass out of themselves.

If 100 people used cocaine on a regular basis for 10 years and 100 people were to use alcohol do you think the addiction rates would be the same? I disagree that alcohol is worse then most street drugs. It might cultural in that we except the affects of prolonged alcohol use but it seems to be less disruptive.

Hell, up until the last few years doctors said that cocaine isn't addictive...just "psychologically" addictive (talking about real cocaine, not crack or other manmade stuff).

Alcoholism is huge. And it kills so many people every year. You can even disregard all the traffic accidents, murders, accidental deaths (from being drunk and fucking up)...and it would still kill more people than coke and heroin combined just from liver and other organ failures.

Most anything is okay to do in MODERATION. Like most folks I've drank all my life since I was 16. Did blow for the first time when I was 19.

And like 99.9% of people I don't have a physiology that is predisposed to addiction. I don't need to drink or do any kind of drug. The only time I have a drink is at a club in a social setting. Same for any kind of drug. It's just for partying on a Friday night.

But the folks who are genetically screwed towards addiction? Those are the ones who drink at home...even when they are alone.

Which is why prescription pills are the absolute worst. I've seen those things take out a lot of people. They get the prescription from the doctor, fill it at the drug store, and take them eveyday.

are you saying that my blood pressure medication, the stuff that has saved me from dying in my early 30's is more dangerous than cocaine? come on man.. I'm with you when talking about taking heavy meds for depression and the bullshit pain killers they give out like candy these days but not all prescriptions are harmful in the same way.

No, I'm not...I pretty explicitly said in my first post: "Pain killers, ambien, etc."

I'm pretty sure that most of us understand the difference between blood pressure medication and other life saving prescriptions (heart pills, insulin, etc.) VS narcotics, ritalin, ambien, valium and other well known party prescription drugs that are the most addictive shit on Earth and are abused in numbers that dwarf "illegal" drugs.

None of the ones you listed are addictive. Hallucinatory drugs have been used since the beginning of mankind. And without acid...The Beatles, Stones, Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, etc. wouldn't be in my record collection.
And don't get me started on the great Pink Floyd albums. :)

GHB is something I used to buy at GNC vitamin stores in the early 1990's. Bodybuilders used it for decades. You would sip a small capful before bedtime and it supposedly helps your pituitary gland release growth hormone while you sleep which heals your body and regenerates muscle, skin tone, etc.
The acronym GHB actually stood for "Growth Hormone Blaster" when used in ad campaigns for it.

But once people started partying on it they would do too much and it would affect the nervous system temporarily shorting it out. It was kinda funny to watch people when they did that once you realized what was happening (it could be scary the first time you saw it).

All the people at strip clubs were doing GHB because it made you feel so damn good and having sex on it is AWESOME. But then you'd see somebody sitting at the bar raising their glass to their lips, setting it down, raising it up, and repeating that over and over for about 5 minutes. Oops...he did too much.
Or a girl on the ground twitching like she was being electrocuted. Oops! lol

None of them were in physical danger...it just took a bit for it to work out of their systems.

But man if cell phones had been equipped with cameras back in the 1990's when that was so prevalent...we would have had some of the most awesome funny ass images and vids of all time.

Poll was to see about the usage of the (harder) Crack compared to (weed) legal in some states, i am really surprised at the poll results myself.

I still see a HUGE difference between cocaine vs heroin or crack.

Most guys who like to have fun have at one time in their lives laid out a few lines with some strippers on a weekend after drinking all night & had a great fuckfest. Then the next day you wake up with a godawful hangover and get back to the real world.

Heroin and crack on the other hand (especially crack) are NASTY drugs.
First thing is you have to shoot heroin into your veins. A minute later you are passed out on a cloud. No way that's gonna be a "party". Plus it's incredibly physically addictive. There is no going back to the real world the next day.

As for crack...super nasty. Yeah, I'm sure that girls who are addicted to crack will have sex with you for a crack rock. Problem is, their teeth are gone from the chemicals in the crack eating the enamel off when they smoked it. It's so speedy that they haven't slept or showered in days, and they have picked at their skin.
As if that isn't nasty enough...if you were smoking the crack with them, your cock would be shriveled to the size of a thimble from the speed.
And of course your life is pretty much screwed. No going back to normal life for you.

In MY world...any kind of partying, whether it is drinking or drugs HAS to lead to some great sex. Without sex at the end of the night, the whole thing is pointless to me. lol
