I will be starting fresh soon, and planning to build myself up to $2K a month (that is what I need to get a visa to retire in Mexico)

I will invest $100 a month to start.....

Where would you invest those dollars and why?

You could by 3 or 4 domains and start to build a blog network. Add different hosts as you go. Sell links for Ok money to reinvest in more domains or content.
Or build 2 or 3 portal sites in different niches. Up date each 2 or 3 times a day. I think that if you update that often with good posts and content you will rank high for long tails

WTF? You will probably need to spend more than $100 per month just in hosting bro...if you can figure out $250-$300 per month I can easily help you grab $2k per month.

Completely disagree. Why would someone starting up, (Or Re-Starting) need a dedicated server?

Start small, and upgrade as needed. I used to have 3 boxes with MOJO, (Clustered) and they did the trick at the time. Then, as I DOWNGRADED my workload, I moved to a 'PS1' @ Americnoc... Plus a virtual at DreamHost...

But I didn't walk in, straight out the gate, goto mojo, and pay for a top end service that I didn't need... :2 cents:

Use that $100 for domains and a cheap shared hosting account to start a blog network. You're practically guaranteed to make good money going that route as long as you actually put in the work and can churn out quality blogs.

I pay $50/month for my dedicated server... It's only an Intel Atom CPU with 2GB of RAM and 500GB HDD. Fairly certain you don't need a $200/month dedicated monstrosity of a server for a few tube sites, blogs or w/e he is trying to do to get started back into the game.

I started in this business in 2004....and managed to get to $2k a month with zero budget and zero knowledge in no time....I know it is a different ball game today, but I like a good challenge....

Now, I know what were my mistakes.....all I need now is to get fresh ideas....and make the best out of it....

You will see me ask questions in the near future for sure...and I will share my experiences with you as I go....

No I do not live in Cancun as of yet.....I will be there in a few weeks on vacation.....hopefully moving there in a few years...;)
