The moral of the story, (in case you haven't figured it out by now?) is that in order to make it in this industry you have to be a Queen Bee. You make all of the workers make you money. You just collect the honey. There is no in between. :2 cents:

I'm inclined to agree with you, but it really depends on your ambitions. I think plenty of people are doing OK just with what they make themselves. Also I'd say this applies to any industry really.

Still think that sentence was strange, but yea, I guess that was what he was going for :)

Your version, somebody else's version as well as my version of "OK" are 2 or 3 separate things. Yes, it applies to any industry... however, this industry always puzzled me on a pretty straight forward aspect.

The affiliate model makes such perfect sense, it's dumb. It's the owners that ultimately screw the pooch and mismanage money or whatever the fuck it is that happens. Most likely a coke addiction.

My point is, if somebody came out with a 100% - and I am not kidding - 100% transparent 50/50... fuck it... 30/70 program that continually produced kick ass content but was 100% visible and just enjoyed owning the entire internet... they would win, we would win.

It would create an environment that would push new programs to follow suit or fail.

But how do yo make a 100% transparent affiliate program? Regardless of the revenue split and the amount of information shared by the program, there will (might) always be someone who claims said program shaves or cheats.

Sorry.... I meant that back in 2004-2007, it was easy to make money.....but newbies would quit easily the business....not being successful the following week...

Sorry for being a non native speaker ;)

The internet has changed, just like anything else in the past few years. There used to be a lot of people thinking they could make good $$ with little effort in this biz. But there's no such thing as 'easy money', so many of them quit the business and as for the rest, it just isn't as attractive a business as it once was. :2 cents:
