Mechbunny 5.0.0 Update
 

Mechanical Bunny Media is pleased to announce the release version 5.0.0 of our popular tube script. This is a major script update that introduces many new features and work-flow improvements over the previous 4.x releases. Below is a truncated list of the more notable changes to the CMS:

Notable 5.0.0 Changes:
- Complete rewrite of the front end, providing better separation of code and template as well as performance improvements.
- Changed flash player to FlowPlayer 3.2.16 to help provide better support for the most common adult ad networks.
- New default front end templates.
- New module system for admin area.
- Improved community features.
- User email notifications.
- Live template switching on front end. Can be used to do multi-lingual templates or alternative landing pages for different traffic sources.
- Numerous changes and bug-fixes in admin area to streamline and improve workflow.
- Bulk YouTube importer. Can be used to setup themed mainstream tube sites in minutes (eg. funny videos, pet videos, fight videos etc).
- New uploader with CAPTCHA for user video & photo uploads.
- Added CSV Import for photo galleries/fhgs/.
- Improved Photo Gallery support.
- New rating system.
- Added filters for photos/videos/both on all pages of front end.
- Added real "videos being watched" function.
- Filter options for approval queue.
- CSV Importer now allows you to keep sponsor's thumbnail.
- Updated manual.

Due to various reasons - specifically to stem redistribution of the script, and the introduction of flowplayer into the system - we have made the decision to implement a licensing system on the script and by extension have been forced to encode a few of the files using IonCube. The script is still an unlimited domain license and is un-encoded with the exception of these files, and as we know that customizability and open-source is important to our customers, we've been careful when implementing this and have done everything we can to limit the impact on the customizability of the script. This file contains some core functions of the script, which are never (or if ever, rarely) modified by us or third party programmers. To streamline the process of obtaining license keys, we have created a customer area on our website where you can request and view license keys and download script updates. Please contact us via ICQ (59416956), Skype (mechbunnymedia), the contact form on our website (http://www.mechbunny.com/contact.php), or our support ticket system if you have any questions or concerns about this change and we will be happy to further discuss the reasoning behind the decision. I don't like that we've had to do this and am a big fan of open source, but it's something that had to be done.

As always, the new version of the script is available free of charge to our existing customers. If you would like us to perform this update on your site(s) for you, we are available to do so for a labour fee. This labour cost will be determined on a case-by-case basis, dependant on the number of sites to update and any custom features that may have been implemented that will need to be ported over to the 5.0 codebase.

Also available for V5.0 of our script - a multi-site admin add-on. This module allows you You can now manage a network of tube sites from one spot and using one large set of content. You can specify what what categories display on what site and publish each video separately with a different title, description, keywords and publish dates. Along with the text-spinner for this script, you can quickly setup a large network of sites all with unique titles and descriptions! which tube software is used for homepornbay.com ?

I like how they show the 1 minute clip free....but require a paid membership to show the rest of the clip.

All tube software should have this option. Could turn into signups galore.

call me nuts, but I still think u guys gotta need to lower your price to stay with the competition. home made or not, most other tube software have similar features.

it is worth every penny, you gotta pay for quality..

It's not just about features. It's about support, versatility, stability, and we're available to do modifications for clients. We have a real office, real employees, answer tickets promptly, and we'll be around in the years to come. Price is not always the deciding factor for someone looking to purchase software, and our fairly large client base is proof of that. Besides that, people use the script for ALOT of stuff. It has been used for tube sites, photo gallery sites, paysite cmses, vod sites, etc.

Regarding cost - every business has costs...think about mainstream brick and mortar business...when you go to a bakery and buy bread, those shelves that the bread is on probably cost that bakery thousands. In the grand scheme of things, $1000 isn't that much for most businesses.

As soon as you roll out a half dozen domains or so with your mechbunny license it is the cheapest in the business and the support is arguably the best around.

do you know how much money has been made off Konrad's script? Like several million times what he's made from it. if you buy his script and make 200K are you going to come back and say 'great script, here's $5000 as a bonus'.

hey konrad how long would the wait be if I were to pay you guys to port over 1 site to the new cms.

The script does have mods on it though. (Htaccess,template mods,some core file mods like includes etc)

This is nothing - they wanted to make it so every eu site had to show every eu visitor a warning before setting any cookies and they had to explicately agree to the cookies. Now they changed it so it's implied agreement based on browser settings.

You are NUTS. I bought this script when it was priced 1500 so you should be fucking happy he's cut the price at all. The support and un-encoded/unlimited license blows any competition away and now with this new upgrade (which I've done a fresh install today and been playing with) the script does everything you could want and a bunch of stuff I didn't even know I wanted.

but the main thing is mechbunny is unencoded and unlimited license.... and their support is top notch.
means you can do whatever you think of with mechbunny.

1. tube site
2. multiple video watermarker and content management for uploading to tubes.
3. members area for paysite.
4. fake tube is work in progress.
