Adding a "Profile" to WP tag/category page?

Hi guys. I've seen many sites that have a really nice looking "profile" for each model and then display all the galleries below.

Something like this (shitty mockup, for now)

I'm wondering how I could get that to appear on each models custom taxonomy page. I know I'd have to manually create each profile for each individual model, but what would I have to do to get each individual profile to pop up when you go to each models page?

If you guys can think of a better way to do it, let me know. I'd really like to implement a feature like this.

I'm not sure how you have things now, but I suppose you could use a custom page template to match that mock and populate with custom fields if each model was a post

Depending on how complex you wanna get a plugin that simplifies things for you might be more desirable and flexible to deal with, but in general you could try what I said.

Again I'm not sure how you have things set up now or anything, but this is all in theory

It is actually quite simple. there is one category.php template you can edit... but that will change the layout of all categories. then there is the category-slug.php and you replace slug with the category name and the edits you make in that page template will only effect categories with that slug. there is also category-id.php to target specific category ID's You can just make a category for each model.

If you need help PM me :) Ill be glad to walk you thru it :) send you code/examples etc. :2 cents::thumbsup

I don't think there is a PM system here, if you could give some examples in here I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Also, I would probably be working with custom taxonomies, would it be possible for those as well? I'm doing a bit of reading on template hierarchies to try and get the gist of it, but I'd still appreciate a basic rundown.

I would love to help with this... You can PM here... most of us do it all day long lol... click on my name to the left, click "Public Profile" ... the first thing that should pop up will be Visitor Messages. Send one off to me... or you can SKYPE me and id be glad to help... I'm "nixem1" on Skype no quotes - send me a message on here or there...

Still looking for a solution to this, folks. I think the template hierarchies are the way to go, but I can't sit down in skype and be taught, it'd be easier to do it in the thread so that I can come back and figure it out when I have an extended period of time to work on it.

Anyone know of an idiot proof tutorial on template hierarchies? I've read the one on the wordpress site and it's pretty overwhelming.
