Which are you getting?

I usually get both current gen consoles, but it seems Microsoft shot themselves in the foot this year, mainly by mentioning that the "Xbox One" has to stay online and check-in every 24 hours in order to play games. Also doesn't help that they mentioned "Players With no Internet Can Just Stick to Xbox 360".

I always liked playstation over xbox, so PS4

PS4 Definitely. I've owned both of each generation and I always end up using the ps4 and giving away the xbox.

sadly i feel the very same way, i dont feel old, but videogames dont get my attention anymore, i remember i used to love to spend hours when i was a kid, then i just got bored, that really sucks, i have bought all the video game consoles just for trying and theyre in my living room collecting dust, i think ill pass the new generation.

The PS4 looks absolutely amazing. Microsoft really dropped the ball this round.

xbox will die, Microsoft will be forced to reissue the system without the used game bullshit or ps4 will dominate so hard that they will have more game developers than they could ever need.

That, and the always-on internet connection. Microsoft fucked-up in assuming that everyone has cheap, constant, unlimited internet access.

Though I think only PC/Macs will be able to support it due to the 60+FPS requirement (don't quote me on that), which will be a game changer all together.

Would be cool if they started making movies in full 360 with Rift support, Horror movies would be a blast.

The constant connection doesn't matter bc none if you pull the plug or disable wireless web you're not home anyway. But to charge me an extra $100 to cover forcing me to buy kinect and not letting me trade games or shop used.... Well fuck you then.

The PS3 always had better exclusives(in both quantity and quality) than the XBOX, and that won't change with the next gen. Just yesterday, The Last of Us one of the best games ever for ps3 was released.

In 2013 alone, Xbox had one exclusive vs five for ps3.

asked my 14 yo nephew about this the other day - he told me no way is he getting the xbox (he's xbox mad), and neither are his friends (also all mad keen on all things xbox). He's never had a playstation, but now wants a ps4 rather than go anywhere near the new xbox one.

I know fuck all about gaming, not being a homo, but just from what I've seen here (95% in this poll) and hearing from my nephew, looks like ms have fucked up severely. Of course they'll still sell, and make $, but at what cost to 'what might have been'.

Gonna buy the nextgen video card and game on PC in vastly superior games.

I just read today that that the Xbox One's that were demoed and playable at e3 were actually PC's. the playable Xbone games were just Xbox One controllers hooked up to a comparable PC and the tower was hidden giving the illusion that they were actually playing off a next gen console (could be a rumor).

What "shit" are we talking about? Playing Xbox One games on a PC using the dev sdk over playing it on a real Xbox One? Or the whole shit that everyone on Reddit is bitching about?

The used game limitations are disappointing. There are many older games that still have people in the online multiplayer because you can pick them up for peanuts. Under the XBox One model, those games are probably dead.

Yes, an SDK is a Software Development Kit, so what they were doing was emulating the new Xbox One system on Windows 7 for you to play. Just like I can emulate an iPhone or Android phone using Apple and Android SDK's on my computer for development of those.
